The Marina Kröslin is surrounded by a beautiful landscape that invites you to different activities e.g. hiking, biking, fishing, surfing, paddling and golfing. You can receive detailed information in our marina.
Definitely worth seeing is the church, a brick construction on solid foundations from the Middel Age with a beautiful baroque tower from the 18th century. Until the year of 1945 this church was even used by villagers from Peenemünde on the other side of the river who came to divine service and other religious celebrations by boat. Between 1720 and 1815 these villagers had to pass a border when going to church as Kröslin was Swedish and Peenemünde Prussian.

Peenemünde was once a small romantic fishing and farming village with countless reed covered houses surrounded by colourful gardens. In 1936 and with an immense turning point for mankind and nature the Nazi regime started building up one of the largest and most modern research institutions in that time: the s.c. "Luftwaffen- und Heeresversuchsanstalt" in Peenemünde.
This is where the Nazis developed the feared long-range missiles V1 and V2 and by that created the foundation for modern air space techniques. Based on this work Peenemünde received the name "Wiege der Raumfahrt" ("Cradle of space industry").
Thank God Peenemünde has not become the cradle of the final National Socialist victory even though the Nazis planned to achieve this with their inventions from Peenemünde.
Peenemünde remained a military base until 1990 and was reconstructed as a musem after the reunification.
You can visit one of the several museums in Peenemünde or make a circuit over Usedom Island and Rugania Island with a Cessna starting from Peenemünde airport.

Close to the mouth of the Peenestrom and oposite to Usedom Island you can find Wolgast, a traditional small town with about 13,000 inhabitants. Come and have a look at the baroque city hall from 1724 which is surrounded by numerous beautiful historical buildings such as the old granary. Nowadays there is a museum in the old granary showing exhibits from several centuries of the history of Wolgast.
Remarkable is also Germanies largest folding bridge - the s.c. "Peenebrücke" - which connects Usedom Island to the mainland.

This beautiful village has around 2,000 inhabitants and is situated at the s.c. "Greifswalder Bodden" - the first water which you meet when leaving Kröslin North.
Lubmin is wooded with pines even up close to the beach and gives the impression of being built right into the forest. If you feel you need a day of relaxing you should go to the beach (long, wide and without stones) for swimming and sunbathing.

The fishing industry is still alive in this harbour as visitors can purchase fresh fish right from the cutter, and it's hard to resist the flavour of freshly smoked fish. Stroll along the quay wall or the beach and enjoy a tasty fish sandwich.
Freest can be reached easily be bike or on foot. One opportunity is the cycle track between Kröslin and Freest, or take the levee which starts behind our warehouse 1 and leads you beside the Peenestrom directly to the fishing port Freest. And don't forget to bring along your camera!
